Ghost Story is a digital painting based on a childhood memory of mine—reading ghost stories alone on a swing in a quiet, snowy park. I wanted to capture that mix of curiosity and fear, stillness and imagination, that comes from being deeply immersed in a book. This piece was selected for the 2018 Society of Illustrators Student Scholarship Exhibition.
