"Home Was Here" is a personal 2D animation inspired by dreams of the childhood home I never got to properly say goodbye to. After moving cities at 14 and leaving behind the house where I spent my earliest years, I’ve carried fragments of that place in memory—sunlight on my desk, my dad’s quiet singing, our family cat, and rooftop hideouts. This short is a melancholic tribute to the spaces that shape us, the moments that slip away, and the lingering ache of nostalgia when we realize we can never go back.
